Volunteer
North County Community Food Bank relies on the dedication and shared passion of almost 80 volunteers at any time throughout each year.
About Volunteering
We have five to six volunteers on each of the two shifts daily. Some common duties our volunteers perform include:
- Stocking shelves
- USDA Commodities distribution
- Food drives
- Have truck to haul with
- Special projects
- Fund raisers
- Help with heavy lifting on delivery day
- Office work
- Christmas programs
- Public relations
- Website updates and development with WordPress
If any of these activities interest you, volunteering is a great way to support our community using your skills and talents. Our volunteers understand that a strong community benefits everyone, and that no one deserves to go hungry.
If you are currently, or have ever been, a volunteer at North County Community Food Bank, please let us know how this experience has benefited you. We love to hear from our volunteer family, and we encourage them, and you, to support us with time and talent.
“Volunteering at the NCCFoodBank has brought such joy to me. I would have never guessed it possible to feel this way. The opportunity to interact with others who are truly passionate about helping others, all working together each day, sharing our experience and seeing how much of a difference we are making in the lives of others, is extremely rewarding.”
