Foods & Services Offered

North County Community Food Bank is currently providing curbside drive thru services to keep our clients and our volunteers as safe as possible with social distancing. Masks are required.

Clients may obtain 1 complete food box per month.

We have a regular supply of fresh food items, however our inventory is always based on availability and what we receive directly from our partner stores and agencies.  These items may include:

  • Local produce
  • Frozen packaged meats
  • Grains and cereals
  • Bakery items
  • Canned tuna, beef and pork
  • Canned vegetables and beans
  • Shelf stable milk
  • Eggs, dairy and cheese

In addition, we hold an array of courses designed to build essential life skills and promote healthy, confident families. Some of these include:

  • Healthy cooking
  • Celebrity Chef and Kids in the Kitchen
  • Living with diabetes
  • Job search and interviewing
  • And much more!

We can provide clients with referrals and information for services such as:

  • Utilities assistance
  • Mental, domestic abuse, drug/alcohol counseling
  • Low income housing
  • Housing repairs/weatherization
  • Senior services
  • Veteran’s assistance
  • Health/dental care
  • Legal services
  • Coordination with other food banks in the area
  • Conflict management classes
  • Basic life skills courses

Along with these services, we supply:

  • USDA commodities
  • A limited supply of pet food
  • Birthday cake packages with egg vouchers
  • A book exchange
  • And we always have great recipes to try
